Yours is the EX version, better than any red band versions. Also the 82mm filter size is important to differentiate from other similar models. I think yours is a top lens, same as I tried when buying a similar but 28-70 EX model with 77mm filter size which is my favourite studio lens. Your lens should be very sharp.

Back in 2005 when I purchased second hand my *istD I also bought a couple of Sigma lenses with the deal.I am now hoping to sell them on the classified section or Amazon but I cannot find a corresponding lens online.
Sigma EX 24-70mm F2.8 DG Macro Lens - Ni*on Fit- £219.99
Just sold today on Ebay was the Sigma above but mine says EX Aspherical not DG Macro and has an 82mm screw-on close up lens rather than a switch.
The other is an APO macro super (with the switch) 70-300 1:4-5.6
I really am confused - both have the gold band above the focussing ring as did the ebay one but most advertised seem to have a red band.Can someone help me here please as I don`t want to risk underpricing/misrepresenting in the ad.
I am now on Flickr which is nice !
