AS an alternative: Get an iphone for web access when you are away from home and have a heap of SD cards for your camera. Saves lugging the laptop about. SD cards are cheap. And the iphone needs to be experienced!!

As Mannesty says, use an older flash of suitable trigger voltage in the hot shoe and have all other heads/flashes set as slaves.

I have a very similar Vivitar with a TX to K mount. Its one of my sharpest lenses!

"After reading various threads and reviews there really doesn't seem much in it between the Sigma 105, Tamron 90 and Pentax 100"
I suspect that sums it up very well!

I have the Sigma 105 EX DG F2.8. Why is the lens hood a pain? Its not needed! But it does come in very handy on my SMC 55mm F1.8 and Helios 44M and........

Search for this elsewhere on PU? or is it Steve's forum? Its come up before. This is the new HSM version. I tried the earlier non HSM AF 24-70mm version. I ended up buying an almost identical but 28-70mm DG EX version with 77mm filter size. The above has an 82mm filter. I mention the filter size because there are other very similar lenses with smaller filter size. I love my version of this lens. It's heavy but my favoured "studio" lens. The 24-70 is sharper than mine but at the time cost twice as much (I paid half of the above link price - supposedly the lens was being phased out at the time). While mine is slightly softer, for most purposes no problems, especially for portraits.
cheers

Just got an AUTO CHINON M42 28mm F2.8. It looks very well made. Need to give it a good try out but initial impression is its a very good lens.
