Aha I see you worked on sims? Software I would guess if you are responsible for all those nasty thing they make us practice. Which sims did you work on? Sorry if I implies you were a bad electrician!

I had a Sigma 10-20 when I had an olympus, but of course with the 2x crop factor it's not the same as on a Pentax. However, it was my favourite lens, pobably accounting for more than half the shots I took, most of them at the wide end. I loved it, and can't wait to get another!

Hi folks here I am in Doha, just had my first day at work doing paperwork etc. It's all very well set up here, though probably moving house again next week. Oggy, I guess you're either an engineer or a "fairy" (avionics engineer in laymans parlance) if you have scared me at work!

Hope the missus will be down in a few weeks and looking forward to getting my hands on a shiny new aeroplane!

With all the interesting new buildings here I definitely need that Sigma 10-20! Will probably wait for a trip to Hong Kong to get it. Thanks for all the good wishes!

Hi Prieni I had a look through your PPG gallery last night, and what a collection of shots! The fisheye shot here of the buildings and sky is absolutely stunning! As is the harbour, the snowflakes, the pebbles.....The quality of your shots almost makes me think I should give up photography, but I will keep plugging on, just it's such a long way to go........

I,ve stuck an entry in (both my first entry to a weekly competition and my first ever macro shot!) Apologies if it's not mysterious enough! Done in a rush as i am doing loads of last minute packing.

The Kelvin_helmholtz one is going to be in a book about waves soon, by Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society, of which I am a fully paid up member!

Thanks Huw, best wishes too! I don't think I will be taking as many snaps as I used to at work, it's bit of a step up for me and will have to mind my p's and q's a bit more than I used to. I have usually used a compact at work, it's a bit less obtrusive, been looking upgrading my compact to a Canon G11 (no Pentax equivalent unfortunately!) for just that purpose! However, I'll still be going all over the world, so plenty of opportunity to use the K7!
