Yes, but what a joy to see them again, Prieni.
Regards,
Andrew
P.S. I've never even had the temerity to try, particularly as Kris says the judges favour "nice" images. Which rules out most of mine, for a start!

I second that, just go and try. The worst that can happen is that they don't make it (which I doubt) and they wouldn't be any worse for it.
It is difficult to predict which ones make it and which ones don't and therefore there always is an element of excitement in it.
Thanks for the kind words, BTW.

Thnaks for the encouragement, Stef and Prieni. I'll give it some serious thought. I quite like travelling hopefully...(English proverb!)
(just checked your PPG link, by the way! Mmm...)
Best wishes,
A.

An amazing collection of quality shots Ralf. Don't apologise for showing them again, they are worth viewing repeatedly. The frozen harbour shot is out of this world.

Stunning pictures Prieni, and along with David the last is my favourite.
I have been taking a slowly slowly approach to the PUG and has a result have a good hit rate (about 65% accepted) but only nine images in. I have changed track recently and have seven up for review now!
Andrew, some of your pictures deserve to be in, so join up and get posting! Just be aware that sometimes ones you think are a definite get rejected, and other times ones you think are marginal get accepted. It does seem to take an age for them to be rejected/accepted though. About six weeks seems to be the order of the day, usually.
Again, congratulations Prieni.

Excuse my ignorance but how do you submit pictures to PPG?
You have to send them an email and ask to be made a member. Once accepted they give you an account and you fill in your profile and start submitting pictures.Excuse my ignorance but how do you submit pictures to PPG?

The first batch I submitted all got rejected, but so what? You don't lose anything by having an image rejected by PPG (the image is still as nice as when you submitted it), and like any lottery your chance of winning is zero if you don't enter.

Well done Ralf, and no wonder they were accepted.
