Just realised the hot shoe grip has a clamp on it as well so that's where the extra bracket goes. The hot shoe grip doesn't come with that clamp and the hot shoe grip leaflet doesn't show one so it's probably the one listed as being for the AF400T (part 30389) The clamp can be slid up and down the hot shoe grip and AF400T to vary the height of the flash.

The 3 way distributor could be quite rare and a collectors item.

I don't think the Lyon adapter's much use. It doesn't seem to take hotshoes, they sell for £10 each on ebay. The Regula one however does look useful because it takes hotshoes.

That's better Steve.... well worth £100.

Manual available here

LX System here

If there had been two battery packs I would have bought it, because I only have the shoulder pack and I couldn't sell the gun on without a battery pack.

The hot shoe grip is for use with any other Pentax hotshoe flash, it's not part of the AF400T kit. The mains adapter could come in very handy. The two pieces with the Stitz grip fit the AF400T and one of them is part of the kit. I don't know why there are two.

The Stitz grip (I used to have one) possibly the best and most comfortable camera/flash grip ever made, but might need a plastic insulator under the flashgun, I don't think it's made for a hotshoe.

The flash is very low voltage and OK for digital cameras.

The cables and case are probably the most valuable part of the sale.

If you don't sell it here you would be better splitting it up... down as far as each individual cable and selling on ebay.

Good Luck with the Sale

Stunning shots! I like them all, but I would rate the 3rd shot just very slightly as the best, even though it's somewhat bereft of a Lake

I think you need to post pictures of either all the items together, if your camera can produce a clear pic or maybe 4 items on each pic if less clear. Either post to here or to a hosting site.

I'm sure what you've listed is worth £100 but it's impossible to understand exactly what's included.

The one you describe as "one has a Auto Sync set and Auto Speed Sync switch on it" is the HOT SHOE GRIP... it doesn't take batteries it's just a handle.

Personally I don't need any of it, apart from the battery holder that screws under the main gun, but your not selling separate items. I'm sure that there are people on here who will be interested in taking the lot for £100.

These boxes at traffic lights are so that a cyclist near the kerb who wants to turn right can dismount and walk in front of the traffic stopped at the lights to the centre of the road (as this man has done) and then turn right when the lights change. It means he doesn't have to move to the middle of the road in moving traffic.

It's a bit difficult to tell sharpness with flowers. Sometimes they look sharper than they actually are and even the slightest breeze can take the edge off. Also moving in closer makes it look sharper and it's more suited to macro lenses. Also with large aperture lens tests you need to take the same shot about 4 times and pick out the best. Then there's the PP work which can effect the image both ways. Looking at the Clematis I wouldn't think it was up to the standard that your after for wildlife, but flowers with my 300mm A* aren't brilliant either.

Another lens you could consider is the CZ Pentacon 300mm f/4 made for the 6x6 may well come with a 42mm adapter. Seems better than the Pentax Super Takumar 300mm f/4 on these test wide open. Look at the earthenware bowl at the bottom. link

Farstone Viewer (free) lets you compare up to 4 photos.

I normally use the Darwin side of a £10 note for lens testing at a distance of about 20x the focal length measured to the camera sensor (approx.) Here's some tests someone's done with a $10 bill at about 14.3x with a link halfway down to a Sigma 400mm macro test and some shots. link

That's the BEST bit of Road in Preston

And they have the cheek to crack jokes about WIGAN
being the part where the "M6 is COBBLED!!!!"

I heard the reason we drive on the left was because an armed
guard if he was right handed would sit on the left of the
driver and point the gun (held on his lap with both hands)
away from the driver. Anywhere were they drove on the Right
would have a lot of Drivers who had had their Feet SHOT OFF!!!

That's correct John. You very rarely see the Macro version for sale.

Be careful with Sigma's they have a bad reputation for element separation, usually starts with the lens going a bit cloudy.

There is someone on the US forum uses 165mm 6x7 lens plus 2x converter and gets really good results, so good I thought of getting one myself. linky

Never known it happen in the 25+ years and a dozen or so Sigma lenses I've had and still have. If we're talking element seperation, well the FA 28-70/4 is almost guaranteed to suffer, if it hasn't already it will eventually.

Sorry, we were talking about 300-400mm lenses so I didn't think I needed to specify what lenses I was talking about.

The problems with the 400mm Sigmas is well known this is just one link

This post tells you what to look out for.

I wouldn't risk it That's a lot of photos to lose if anything goes wrong and even if you find out that there's problems with the card before you lose anything it's a lot to pay for something that you daren't use.

I've recently had that problem with a 8GB Transcend Class 10 now I'll only use it to transfer files between computers using checksum files to make sure that there are no errors.
