Hello for sale one Pentax AF400T flash unit comes with two what I can only describe as additional battery units which must connect to the bottom of it, one small the other larger one has a Auto Sync set and Auto Speed Sync switch on it. One Pentax Auto Sync Set and Slow Speed Sync unit which has four cable ports. One Regula / Nissin multi-flash unit. One Lyon twin flash adapter model TB-307. One Pentax AC power adapter model 65808F. Two mounting brackets the same and one Stitz mounting bracket hand held. There are numerous different cables which I presume fit the units I have no instruction booklets on any of the items some of the smaller items are boxed but the entire lots comes in a metal carrying cased. It was my Fathers it has been used but looks in good condition. The asking price is £200 + P&P which could be up to £20 because of the weight. If you are interested please e.mail me at [email protected] as I do not come on the Pentax forum site very often and I know you have a better idea of what theses item's do, I will send pictures of the job lot on request. Thanks Steve

This would be much easier to read if you pressed the Carriage Return key after each item.

Is it still "Carriage Return" when there is no carriage to return?
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

In computing it's still CR (ASCII 0x0D) to terminate a line of text.

I think you need to post pictures of either all the items together, if your camera can produce a clear pic or maybe 4 items on each pic if less clear. Either post to here or to a hosting site.

I'm sure what you've listed is worth £100 but it's impossible to understand exactly what's included.

The one you describe as "one has a Auto Sync set and Auto Speed Sync switch on it" is the HOT SHOE GRIP... it doesn't take batteries it's just a handle.

Personally I don't need any of it, apart from the battery holder that screws under the main gun, but your not selling separate items. I'm sure that there are people on here who will be interested in taking the lot for £100.

That's better Steve.... well worth £100.

Manual available here

LX System here

If there had been two battery packs I would have bought it, because I only have the shoulder pack and I couldn't sell the gun on without a battery pack.

The hot shoe grip is for use with any other Pentax hotshoe flash, it's not part of the AF400T kit. The mains adapter could come in very handy. The two pieces with the Stitz grip fit the AF400T and one of them is part of the kit. I don't know why there are two.

The Stitz grip (I used to have one) possibly the best and most comfortable camera/flash grip ever made, but might need a plastic insulator under the flashgun, I don't think it's made for a hotshoe.

The flash is very low voltage and OK for digital cameras.

The cables and case are probably the most valuable part of the sale.

If you don't sell it here you would be better splitting it up... down as far as each individual cable and selling on ebay.

Good Luck with the Sale

Just realised the hot shoe grip has a clamp on it as well so that's where the extra bracket goes. The hot shoe grip doesn't come with that clamp and the hot shoe grip leaflet doesn't show one so it's probably the one listed as being for the AF400T (part 30389) The clamp can be slid up and down the hot shoe grip and AF400T to vary the height of the flash.

The 3 way distributor could be quite rare and a collectors item.

I don't think the Lyon adapter's much use. It doesn't seem to take hotshoes, they sell for £10 each on ebay. The Regula one however does look useful because it takes hotshoes.

Hi Algernon thanks very much for the advice it is much apprisiated when people explain what's what, I know that the 3 way addaptor is sort of rare and e.bay may be a way to go but you guy's out there in Pentax land understand what these things do and I believe my Dad would be happy knowing they are going to Pentax users. I still have a lot of his stuff left but it is old fashioned compared to present day technology and may not be compatible, if he had the Digital Camera I have bought then he would have not needed all the lenses and things I have left.
