Won't it be because of the AF adjustment on the camera. They probably set infinity on a camera that was on the limit for being out of adjustment.

Some Vivitar lenses such as the Series 1 28-105mm let you adjust infinity by rotating the front element.

R G Lewis were a respectable dealer who supplied a resolution test negative with every lens they sold.

The main purpose of this would have been to hold the Pentax camera (probably Spotmatic) vertical on a pan and tilt head. Early pan and tilt heads didn't have the facility/hinge to allow vertical use.

They were very common with Leicas.

The AA battery holder is extra. It would have been a great selling point if it had been included or given free with the camera as a special offer.

The Li-ion battery and charger will have put about £70 on the camera price.

If it lets you it would probably be better to update now, just in case there are any bugs in the licensing part of the software.

My Eye_Fi card was like that couldn't get it to register using the software that came with it. After about 2 hours messing about I downloaded the latest version and presto it registered within seconds.

Although something I think would be a very good idea would be a wireless or bluetooth connection in camera so when I get home I can (assuming I'm on the first card of the day) I can just copy all the files to my PC without the fiddly cables.
Eye_fi cards already do that as soon as the network is in range it starts downloading

I've had two original Pentax batteries for the K20D for about 18 months. They still work perfectly. I've also got two cheap ebay batteries (different makes) which were OK at first but after 9 months I could only get about 50 shots out of each compared with probably 500+ off the originals. All charged in the Pentax charger.

Thanks for that he didn't give very many interviews.
I'll have a good look around the site.
