He's sold some really interesting stuff over the last year ago including a set of Stasi M42 lenses made by Carl Zeiss. Similar ones are shown on this page.

turns out that i've been a bit of a moron. the stf doesn't have an aperture ring, so a mount swap would be very very tricky, since it would involve hacking electronics. i give up on the idea...
4/3's system... or nex system.... pick a body, there's an adaptor...
Any Sony body will work, but the lens is probably designed for Full Frame.

A big upgrade to the sound on a PC is a pair of active nearfield monitors instead of PC speakers i.e. the type sold by music shops for home recording studios.

e.g. Fostex

or for 80 quid M-Audio

The kit I'm looking for (K5 with the 18-135 lens) still doesn't seem to be edging any lower than £1449. Still out of reach.

Apple or no - my IPod was the best Christmas present I ever got - years old now and still useful and hasn't been changed that much in the later editions (other than capacity).
Pity you couldn't have had the cash it would have reduced the outlay on useful K-5 kit

Put in an offer on THIS and then with a pair of molegips unscrew the centre element.

This gives you a macro tube with contacts for little money.

Works very well.
Ha! Ha! I like his description:

"A 2x tele converter will double the focal length at the expense of about two f/ stops; so a 135mm f/2.8 will become about 270mm at roughly f/4. "

Where ROUGHLY F/4 means f/5.6

Ebay certainly brings 'em out!

I use a Pro-Ject Phono Box link to transfer vinyl to the PC. It might do what you want.

Ask for a refund. If a shop sells something "As Seen" they have to refund if the item has a fault that you wouldn't have seen

I just used the Photographic setting in dispcalGUI that set everything else up. Make sure you have the latest program.

The only other thing I altered was the ambient light to 300 (can't remember what unit it uses probably LUX)

I've only got a Huey, but it seems OK, although I can set it up quite well with the Samsung software which doesn't use Huey.
