Using Argyll color profiler?

I just used the Photographic setting in dispcalGUI that set everything else up. Make sure you have the latest program.
The only other thing I altered was the ambient light to 300 (can't remember what unit it uses probably LUX)
I've only got a Huey, but it seems OK, although I can set it up quite well with the Samsung software which doesn't use Huey.

Sadly, when done it created a profile that Photoshop reported as being corrupt, and Firefox renders no blue channel.
I used the Matrix & Curves mode of Argyll to create profiles, which is apparently "wrong" although I thought I read that it should create the best profile.
Any suggestions for proper command line or proper usage of the dispcalGUI?
I am using a Macintosh (27" iMac w/ ATI Radeon HD 5750 to be exact).
In the end, is it really worth the trouble?
Thanks
