Agree with above comments...No.3 is absolutely First Class.

Over on the US site there is some info translated from Japanese regarding a recent patent for a lens of 70-300
focal length (or thereabouts).

Apparently it may incorporate Optical Imaging Stabilisation on lens as well as use In Body Stabilisation.

An interesting development if true.

Great set of images...work really well in mono.

I love No.1 and No.7...those neat, named doorbells are brilliant. No.4 is a lovely composition also.

Never been and not sure I ever will but great to get an authentic feel of the place via your shots.

Well done Bill..nice image.

Saw this earlier in week on main Epz site...hadn't heard of the competition until I read about the winners.

The thing that really makes it is the red and white 'police' tape as mentioned by Nigel, prompting the question
of the viewer..."why"..."what has happened that necessitates the closing of a children's playground by officialdom? "

Maybe Historic England could do this sort of thing more regularly to capture the mood of a nation on important dates or periods of time.

Both SRS and Clifton Cameras got the 85mm priced up at £1999.

Yeah, just seen the link at photorumors...apparently Amazon will be selling it next week at £2100!

Commercial suicide.

You don't make it easy Bill.

Have scrolled down them three or four times trying to pick two or three favourites...came up with seven that I particularly liked.

Narrowed those down to four...15,4,8,11 in that order...I think!

No.15 is almost 'other worldly'...totally unlike the rest and has an abstract feel which I really like.

No.4 ...love the 'watercolour', painting appearance of this.

No.8...wow...elevated from very good to excellent by the sun's rays.

No. 11...love the abstract , watercolour treatment again. Some great light from the left side.

Thanks for showing these Bill, one day i'd like to visit the area myself having only travelled as far north as Oban, Mull.

Some nice images there Gareth.

I especially like No.6 and some of the white ones are surprisingly effective.

Hope your wife likes the results.

Seems like there will be a pre-recorded video update on new APS-C flagship and 85 f1.4 12:00 Japan time tomorrow. Hopefully it hasn't been cancelled although a further delay wouldn't be unexpected.

Excellent site Bill...very professionally produced and as i'd expect the quality of your images are first class.

Only had time for a brief scout round, will return later for a more detailed look.

Hope it drives even more success your way.

Best wishes,

Karlo
