Thanks very much Gary and David for your positive comments. I can see why you particularly like 4 and 5...probably my pick as well due to the geometric almost perfect angles and shapes...how does Nature do that? It's almost as though a set of Draughtman's set squares and other shapes have been thrown into the water and magically re-arranged themselves.

Pleased you chose this one for that reason...much more interesting when viewed larger than able to post on here. I included it though for the reasons you state.

Best wishes to all once more and i'm sure there will be another opportunity before long for some more 'Ice water' shots.

Very nice...No.2 definitely my favourite.

Looks like its going to be cold again overnight into the morning...great weather for these kind of shots.

Just a few more from a local fishing pond a few days ago.

K-50 with SMC M 200/f4...first time with this combination.

Fascinating to see how nature creates such patterns with partly melted ice.

Personally i've got no intention of getting a mirrorless body so not bothered in the slightest that Pentax is not going down this route.

More concerned that Pentax doesn't seem to offer an entry level DSLR at an affordable price to entice new users who will ultimately be needed to keep the brand afloat.

Camera arrived this afternoon, well packed, excellent condition as described.

Will try out properly over Christmas.

Many thanks to Paul (glenarm).

Can highly recommend this seller.

My pleasure Paul.

Equally satisfying doing business with you.

First time i've ever purchased from the forum...after all these years.

Best wishes

At the moment though the dollar is too expensive...UK consumers won't be able to afford US products...so £ will strengthen against Dollar...also they will want our tourists again...another reason.

Come the new tax/tariff rules particularly with Japan, i'm hoping it will be cheaper and less hassle to import used lenses from Japan. Seem to be some really nice condition lenses available on Ebay from there at quite attractive prices. All priced in $US which has been a problem recently. However given that the US will be trying to sell as much stuff to us as they can shortly I'm expecting the US dollar to weaken against Sterling making Japanese imports even more attractive.

Can't argue with the image quality.

No.5 is phenomenal and really like the Robin as well.

As you mentioned Soviet lenses can be very 'hit and miss' quality wise but if you get a good'un they seem to be exceptionally good value for money.
