Very nice shots.

Fabulous colours and incredibly sharp.

How many images per stack?

A bit of a photo cliche I know...but here goes.

A few from Vale Royal woods by the river.

All handheld with Samyang 135 f/2

Tough one this...although I have to say if i'm being honest she's right...it is too impractical...whatever were you thinking?

I think the best way out of this would be to offer to move to a larger house with much larger rooms...one of which could act as your indoor photo studio and she could have a pantry and perhaps a walk in shoe cupboard...or something.

Let us know how you get on.

Cracking effort that Chris.

I've found shooting airliners at 30,000' + (not literally!) is a good test of the resolution and overall quality of a telephoto lens. Even more telling when you crop to over 100%.

5/5 for that combo i'd say.

Fantastic set of images David.

I really enjoy seeing new places through the eyes of a photo enthusiast.

Stand out image for me is No.19...those clouds...wow! Not a duffer from the 20 images though...all very good+. Particularly liked the butterfly images too...always good to see the local fauna in somewhere new.

Am assuming the timing of your new family venture hasn't been ideal given Covid restrictions?
Hope that things pick up if that has been the case...does seem a lovely part of the world.

Best wishes,

Karlo

Fabulous shots Chris...all excellent.

The Moonshot though is exceptionally good (even if there is this annoying aircraft in the frame)

Some great shots there...hard to pick a favourite.

Possibly No.7 or 8 if pushed.

Something in No. 6 (Cool View) caught my eye though. In the bottom right of image looks like theres a giant mushroom or Sombrero. What was it?

Nice walking country to have nearby anyway.

Good shots Chris...handy for you being so local to Fairford.

The way things are deteriorating in the M.E wouldn't surprise me if the bombers stayed a bit longer than planned and maybe their numbers might be increased.

I'm sure it will be a fine lens optically...BUT continuing the trend of no manual aperture control is not to my liking and the price of 1500 Euros in EU (likely to be about £1300-£1350 in UK) means I would never consider buying one anyway.

It may be that my last new Pentax branded lens purchase of a 55-300 WR about 3 years ago was my last ever such purchase. I will be buying mainly used lenses from now on with the odd new one from Samyang or Irix as they offer better value for money and still give me manual aperture on lens.
