A nice collection of portraits again Alistair...you must have a 'local' portfolio numbering in the hundreds by now. Do you not find you keep 'bumping' into previous models when on the lookout for new faces or do you have several different 'sets' of the same person from widely spaced days or weeks. I'm just wondering how big your 'catchment' area is when out and about! The girl with the red hat...didn't she appear a few days ago?

I particularly like the last one as she looks very relaxed and confident and No.6 is appealing because you seemed to have caught a certain vulnerability in her eyes and smile which is attractive.

Lastly... Rofl..."classic", Andrew..hope you're wearing a tin hat next time you venture out!

Excellent shots Alan. I particularly like the props and blades as you've definitely nailed the prop blur. You've shown off the capability of the 560 very well...a great pairing i'd say...you and that lens!

It does look nice in that grey but that on its own is only worth about £20-£25 in my estimation.

As some posters above have hinted at ..its probably just a means of filling a blank month or so with nothing happening before Photokina. Presumably before the end of August we'll get the 'official' leak about the K60/K600 and retro K-L that were mentioned in February.

I'd expect a £50 reduction on the K5II very soon as its starting to look a bit vulnerable at its current price...also some dealers risk being left with unsaleable K30s at the ridiculous prices they are asking. August is normally the best month outside Christmas to pick up some bargains...lets see what happens.

As I was scrolling down to view, the top half of No.3 looked like it was a couple of golf clubs in a lavishly decorated golf bag!

techno, thanks for your nice comment at the end...its really quite easy to get pics like this if you've got a telephoto that is at least 200mm at its longest...the hardest technique to master is nothing more than panning with the aircraft, trying not to stop the movememt once you've pressed the shutter...that comes easily enough with practice.

As for the aircraft numbers...the Frecce run some of their display with all 10 aircraft, part of it with 9 + 1, part of it with 2x 5 and part of it with a 5,4 and 1..!

Unfortunately the smoke was so intense and long lasting that it partially obscured
the aircraft for much of the display! Made focusing difficult as well.

You'll be pleased to read that thats it for now although I might have a go at PP on some images i've not shown already...only if I can get time..you've been warned!
