I like the first one..but am not keen on the composition or content of the last one. Film looks like it has lasted ok though.

Maybe Ricoh are about to announce a K5III with the 24MP sensor from the K3 or possibly a K60/K600.

The K-series range is looking a bit limited/unbalanced now. It either needs a replacement in the slot currently occupied by the K5IIs although this would then undermine the K3, or more likely the K3 looks like it is dropping in price to takeover from the K5IIs leaving a vacancy at the top of the range to be occupied by an as yet unannounced model. They do really need something in the £1200-£1500 price range that will hold its perceived value for longer than a few months and be aspirational.

At that price point I suppose there is no other option than FF.

Have just seen that Wilkinson Cameras are offering the K5II + DA 18-55WR for a penny under £500...cracking price. If you don't live in the NW and need it posting then its another £8.50.

The K5II is now listed as discontinued on some US retail sites which explains the recent price drops, BUT it is still a great buy at this price.

Whilst I would hope that the KS-2 is WR , as I understand it the KS range is going to be developed in parallel with the existing K range and not replace it. The KS range according to some senior executive interviewed recently is aimed at the younger generation impressed by flashing lights, bright colours, wireless devices generally who are not seen as the traditional Pentax customer. The K range continues to cater for us old fogeys that came from 35mm and is more 'traditional' in styling and features. I'm guessing that the KS-1 is designed to appeal more to female togs as well given the palette of colour options available

Cheers for your comments Nigel. I did take a lighter shot of No.3...couldn't decide which I preferred...went for the slightly underexposed in the end!

A few shots of various light aircraft, including some homebuilt ones which looked very professional. Taken from the balcony on the old WW2 era tower (converted to a nice cafe now) or on the grass immediately next to the apron.
