Finally a DSLR worthy of replacement to my DS.
Nice spec, looks like the new shutter from the K-7, decent ISO range (but the proof will be the images, but 12800ISO!
Not sure about the White or Red ones (I am a Stockport county fan after all...)
I'll have a blue one please.

Looks like a great little camera. But those colours???
Luckily only in Japan.
How are they going to do all that, are they really producing bodies in different colours or will it be some kind of skin. Producing all those different colours seems like a very costly affair.
They will probably end up with a stock of colour combinations that really nobody is interested in... To me it sounds like a waste of money.
Some different colours could be appealing but stick to two or three colours that people actually want.
If the finish of the colours is of the same quality as the white K-m it will be terrible...

I think you mean un-luckily. I can't see how having our choice restricted could ever be considered a "good" thing. Looks like a great little camera. But those colours???

Not at all. The body moulds are already there (it's only a K-m with a new sensor, AF and Prime Processor after all - the outside hasn't changed), they just inject different colour plastics into each until they have enough stock. Pinks and yellows cost no more to make than black mouldings so this gives many more options (and lots of publicity / extra sales) for no additional outlay. How are they going to do all that, are they really producing bodies in different colours or will it be some kind of skin. The colour options are a bespoke service which are ordered through Pentax directly or through a (Japanese) dealer. The individual orders will be allocated a bar code at the factory and at the appropriate points on the production line the right colour body and grip will be fitted. There is no chance of having a mountain of unsold colour combinations as they will only be producing what people order. They will probably end up with a stock of colour combinations that really nobody is interested in... But who will decide what combinations people want? I warn you now if it's me then we'll all be getting orange ones with the blue grip because it just looks awesome. Maybe a few lime green with black, some olive with yellow and maybe white with blue for the traditionalists. I'm thoroughly bored of black cameras so of course they'll be banned.

I've handled a white K-m (and seen the crystal-encrusted K200D in the flesh) and the quality of the finish is easily as good as any other DSLR that Pentax has made. Don't judge it by the shiny publicity photos.

I'll have a silver one please.
Don't understand the price though, if it's roughly the same price as the K20D what would you choose-difficult one!imo

I handled a white K-m at a dealer and to me it looked like someone had a go with a spraycan to me.

battery grip can be fitted
bigger size (easier to hold for me)
pentaprism instead of the pentamirror in the K-x
weather sealing is often mentioned but lets be serious, how many weather sealed lenses do we have? ok all the new lenses like the 16-50 and 50-135 are weather sealed but not a lot of people have them.
