I would hope you're being ironic. If the K-x is anything like the K-m, let alone an improvement, it will be an excellent camera, and a serious piece of kit.

I think the Currys price was £369 or at least I hope it was as I got mine with the two lenses in PC World (DSG, Inc Currys , Dixons) in July for this price.
I may have been a Happy Snappy man before but imho the K-m is more than a step up from a phone or cheap compact.

The K-m shares the same sensor as the K10D and the K200D, there's nothing toy-like or cheap about that! I may have been a Happy Snappy man before but imho the K-m is more than a step up from a phone or cheap compact.
I'm really quite excited about the K-x, if the performance is as good in the real world as the paper specs would suggest then I think it'll make an excellent "lightweight / travel" alternative to my K10D.

The K-m is no toy. I love it because as a newbie it gives me the options to improve my skills and also use the auto option when I need to.
Sorry if my post was not to clear re my opinon of the K-m
K-x looks even better.

I would love to see a model in camo for the wild life photographers..lenses as well. talk about a walk and stalk hunt with a camo pentax using a modest tele lens....
hay that pink is lovely, but I am female, LOL, only if it was a lighte shade of pink. Only jokeing, I love the standard black as well... but a camo coloured model well that would go down just fine with me.
The K- x looks to be a nice model.

Elva, I had the same thought as You and I sort of expected that to be available when I first heard about Pentax's colour stunt. A camo model would also confirm the outdoor focus better than pink .
I wonder how many non-black Pentax will sell?

Camo would be significantly harder to make than the solid colours though, perhaps khaki green?
you don't have to be mad to post here
but it does help
but it does help

They are doing "Olive Green" which isn't a million miles from khaki.
As for silver I bet that ends up being one of, if not the, most popular colours where a choice may be had.

Funny isn't it. Once upon a time a black MX/ME Super/KX was the more expensive option lusted after by those who cared. Now black is standard and we hanker after a silver model...
