Whích Q ?

I've used both on the original Q and the Q10 and to be honest I can't see any difference. I'd not expect any difference as they are essentially the same camera internally.. And tbh, I've not seen evidence of a huge difference when they brought out the Q7 with the larger sensor. In my opinion, al...

Whích Q ?

Hi all, Camera manufacturers are struggling with amateur sales in the light of the success of smartphone cameras. Samsung backing out, Olympus had to be bailed out, sensor makers merging etc. I noted a while back that 84% of Ricoh/Pentax sales are in their home market. I also gather the Q system ...

Q 08 Lens

I've not done a side by side comparison of the of the 08 compared with the 02. There is some overlap of the two zoom ranges but I gather the 08 is 17.5mm (35mm equiv) compared to the 02's 23.5mm (35mm equiv) on the larger sensor Q series bodies. At these short focal lengths a small difference can be...

Original Q - Sensor mechanically "stuck" ...

Did a quick scan of the threads, and did not find anything like this: Last night I used my original Q. No problems. Put it on a shelf and left it until this morning. When I tried to turn it on, I got the SR/focal length setting screen, as normal. I OK'd my 2,8mm and briefly got the viewfi...

Original Q - Sensor mechanically "stuck" ...

If a fault has developed then the only solution will be to send it for repair. I would use JPS and it might be to your advantage to join PU Plus first and download the special form for 20% discount on the servicing.

And indeed hand held without SR. People were taking sharp photos long before SR was developed. Yeah, but 2 sec exposure time, free hand, is kinda difficult w/o SR.... Thanks/Erik

Pentax QS-1 - is anyone using this camera

I'm selling one in as new condition. There's a test set in my portfolio of the little cemetery building on a drab day over xmas. They were really taken to show the differences between the 7 lenses. If size is important and you're looking for a interchangeable lens camera with great image propert...

Pentax QS-1 - is anyone using this camera

Hi, I've got the Q7 which has the same sensor as the Q-S1 (and the MX-1 I believe) . I used to have the Q but moved to the Q7 when one came up at a good price as the images (sensor) is a lot more forgiving in post processing. As well as the moon picture I posted recently using the Pentax Q t...

Don't forget the Q7 and Q-S1 use the bigger sensor, like the MX-1. Image quality is then about the same.

Q users - can you shed any light on this???

Try cleaning the battery contacts too. A pencil rubber is pretty useful for that.
