New Firmware
It is 240, not being a computer geek, haven't got a clue how to roll back to a previous software edition. Any tips please. You will need the 230 firmware bin file. I'm presuming you updated your K-1 ll at some point to version 230. Do you still have that file in your downloads? If you do, run t...

New Firmware
Hi again, so looking back, I found a source for earlier versions of the K1 MKii firmware. I downloaded versions 2.1 and 2.3. Interestingly when looking inside the zipped files, both showed BIN files with the same name as the current file namely fwdc240b, albeit with different creation dates and C...

What would you wish for?
Being an avid Pentax camera and lens user I thought I would suggest a topic for discussion that might get back to the Pentax marketing department. Personally I do not see me investing in a new film camera, I already have two older functioning excellent film cameras. Nor would I want an AFC camer...

What would you wish for?
I would have thought that it would be possible in firmware. For example, when a lens with dual autofocus (SDM or Screwdrive) is fitted ,a menu option that allows choice of method of AF could be available.... ...Further once they figure it out, I would have thought, that it would be possible to up...

What is the situation regarding Ricoh cameras and PentaxUser?
I don't think Canonites are any more likely to be shooting Pentax lenses than any other brand of mirrorless. On DSLRs yes, but not on mirrorless. All adapters are equal and modern mirrorless cameras I believe have very similar manual focus tools, allowing precise focus with any lens.

Ricoh GR (APS-C) wireless remote
David, thank you. Having done some more research I believe an IR remote is not possible for the GR. I have ordered a Nikon compatible wired remote which should work with the GR. Will report back.

Ricoh GR (APS-C) wireless remote
Nikon fitting is different, so on its way back to the seller. Now looking at a JJC RCA2 which has interchangeable cables so hopefully useful for GR, GXR, Q and K5s.

The Nisi Master kit for the Ricoh GRIII
I'd read about Nisi filter kits for the Ricoh GR cameras a few years back, but had been put off by stories of the filter holder dropping off when the lens was retracted (which is quite often in my experience) - the other day I discovered that Nisi offer a filter holder that uses the same fitting as ...
