Genuine Warranty for a WG 30 "Underwater Camera"
T John thats stunning. I've had an Optio WP since 2005/6 - (its the silver one 5MP). I've used in in pools, the sea, snow etc and have been very pleased with it. Never had any moisture issues at all. Going back to the original thread I guess its just standard terms. John

WG-4 Focusing issues in Macro/microscope mode
I'm very excited of what I'm seeing through my new WG4 camera but focusing is about to make me crazy. I do realize so many of the focusing problems of digi cameras from the 8 cameras I've owned but this one is a doozy. When I go LED lit super close up mode, I half press the shutter release as p...

What is up with auto mode on the WG-4?
I set my WG-3 to Program mode, so most adjustments are then available, Some would not be possible in green mode. I set centre focus only, daylight for white balance, fixed ISO of 200 or 400. The flash is switched off. All this is done in natural image style. Hope that helps!

X-90 goes bonkers
My area is bad news for electronics..so humid but gratefully all but one of my cameras seem to handle it well. My X-90 has gone into craziness. When I try to use many of the functions it goes from where it was to what I want back and forth like five times a second. The whole camera was doing this...

My poor X-90 has gone bonkers.
If my x-90 is a typical example of the X-70/X-90 Pentax problems it is easy to see why they were discontinued. From the start the camera felt flimsy but I pressed on with it for nostalgic reasons just to see the name Pentax on one of my cameras. The K-1000 was my first. It still works fine. I ...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
Often I read threads on the Forum which are negative towards Pentax cameras, e.g. AF is poor, too much image noise, not good enough at high ISO's etc., so I wanted to post something positive and also generate some opinions and debate from K-3 / K-3ii owners. In the past week I've taken a large nu...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
I went through a Kr, K200d, K7, and 2 different K5 bodies before selling up and going to a Nikon D7100. Then I came back to a K3 and a K5ii and have to say I am very happy with the all round performance of the K3 in particular, that said the K5ii is a great camera too. When it comes to all round...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
I`ve used or owned most of the Pentax range in auto-focus since the SF7 years ago and each model has progressed somewhat. The continuous auto-focus mode has never been as good as the other main makers but it is better now than its ever been (on my K3II at least). Pentax are catching up slowly but su...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMFWlUEdw4c He needs to learn to count ... GPS, inbuilt astrotracer, anti-shake up from 3.5 to 4.5 stops, new high-speed AF algorithm, Pixel shift resolution. I am not very good at arithmetic but I make that 5 changes :?. Admittedly they may not be everyone`s cup o...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
Have gone from my K-7 to the K-3 II. Keeping the K-7 as a back-up. The K-3 II is quieter and does HDR and multiple combined shots as DNG's rather that JPG's. Much better format than JPG's. Much better noise controlled than the K-7. It is a better camera with many more features. I use the 60-250, 16-...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?
My K3 is excellent in most aspects. I have complained in the past about the speed of AF in some circumstances and it's tracking abilities. I was with Neil P (see above) and can confirm the excellent performance of the focusing in low light situations. I also was forced into shooting a wedding situa...

How Good is the K-3 / K-3ii?

photos of the full frame finally out
I do like the camcorder style vari-angle screen type on other DLSRs including the K-S2. I used to like the straight tilt of say the 645Z, but then someone pointed out that it only works for landscape shooting. I'd never thought of that, but you can't tilt the screen up or down if the camera is in p...

Good service from SRS/Ricoh
I was getting a bit twitchy about some of the Pentax/Ricoh customer service after reading and knowing about a couple of things on here. I bought my daughter a Ricoh WG-30 rugged camera for her round the world trip and half way through it packed up due to the battery terminals becoming corroded. (Se...

Good service from SRS/Ricoh
Peter, yes i agree but the retailer should offer you a replacement, within six months of owning, if it's obvious the item hasn't been miss-used or damaged in any way, or you must be able to have a refund instead? Not quite correct. You have those rights up to 30 days from purchase. Between 30 days a...
