ordered a k200
Hi Kris. Yes I still have the Super A but the focus screen is scratched. Neil Depends on how sentimentally attached you are to it (second hand ones are cheap) but it can be fixed easily enough. Harrow Technical do a good job on all my cameras. Best wishes, Kris.

Hello to all and a query on lenses
Hi, Have been a Pentax user for a couple of years - *stD, K10D and now K20D. However, I wasn't aware of the forum until this weekend so "hello to you all". I generally spend my vacations photographing animals (particularly big cats) in the wild. I have two bodies as it is easier changing cam...

First real foray into digital
The older lenses you list are not really up to the standard of modern digital lenses, but they will take pictures. One lens I forgot to mention (probably because it really is very forgettable) is a Mitakon 80-200mm zoom (and a couple of 2x tele converters). I've been doing a little testing and a...

First real foray into digital
Before binning them try sticking them on eBay - they may not be stellar performers but there'll be somebody out there who can make use of them! For your amusement, here are a few 100% crops that seem to illustrate just how un-stellar two of the lenses are. The shots were taken in the evening under ...

Also got a Jessops 360 gun which I have not had very good results with.....varying degrees of exposure, mostly under to very dark result. Was speaking to someone who said that you only get best ...

Hello Fron New Pentax User ( Entry Level User)
Hello sandesh, welcome to the forum. The key to getting good results is practice, practice, practice! :D Cameras always take longer to auto focus on subjects that are close to the lens - this is why manual focus is preferable in those situations. Are you sure you're not too close? With the DA1...

Hello Fron New Pentax User ( Entry Level User)
Welcome to the fora Sandesh, hopefully you'll find lots of good advice here. If you are new to photography (not just Pentax) my advice is read a good photography book too. Also, make yourself use the camera entirely on manual (exposure and focus). Once you have cracked how the interplay of ISO, ...

Greetings from Lancs + AF540 Question
Just wanted to say 'hi' to everyone. I've just joined the forum, although I have been a 'lurker' for many months and have learned a lot from the high quality advice that members provide. My interest in photography started in my teens and I used to do B&W processing in a makeshift darkroom in the...

Greetings from Lancs + AF540 Question
1: The locking lever doesn't click. 2: The action of moving the locking lever from unlocked to locked, should push the locking pin out through the base of the hotshoe. It is that pin that provides mechanical security between flash and body. I'd say it was a faulty flash but that the pin may just...
