Thanks for your comments, all. Kingfisher - I can see why you would mention the "greyish hue". The light was almost gone by the time I took those and it was more for the late pm sky background ...

The first one's a classic - subject, composition, DoF, lighting all spot-on.

I have never had an LX either but I'd be amazed if it needs to have anything removed to replace the mirror bumper. Replacing this foam is the easiest camera upkeep job there is - just remove the o...

A difficult balance to achieve indeed, Barrie. I think your second take works better overall than the first, but I might accent the lights in the vase a slight bit... up to individual taste here,...

I have a few rolls left in 120. No idea why, but it always looked good when I used it in my old folders whereas for 35mm I prefer the Kodak offerings.

It's a fine portrait Gary, love the muted colours and the composition with her pushed to the left slightly giving that area of negative space. It's not a criticism but I would have preferred either...

Lone yellow jacket and cold seat for me also. I can see some mono conversions coming on! Gutted here is Wales - no snow. Scotland yes, even Madrid has it but Wales, nope! We have blinking rain!

The footnote on the right of the page that Bertie posts says "Insert BR.P"dp within the inner frame..." to use the smaller battery. Presumably this can be removed to go back to 2CR5s. I'm not s...

The pencil eraser trick works with the *ist series battery contacts too. They can look really shiny but they actually have a layer of insulating muck on them. I've brought two back to life that way.
