That doesn't sound so good. I can't see who the seller is via 'order history' page with nothing to suggest it's not Play.com you're buying from and I don't remember what was on the original play web-page now

edit - If it's from a Play Trade reseller it has a different logo in your order and the seller is listed when you look in the order details ....

On the bright side - if it doesn't turn up at least I don't have to sneak it past the girlfriend!

Well if it doesn't arrive then I haven't lost anything other than getting my hopes up!

I'm pretty sure it did say 'In stock' this morning - not that it means anything ....

Shim - did you cancel your order? Maybe they will get more in stock ...

Just checked the order status again and it's said "Card Declined" which is rubbish, they just approved everything over the phone.

You can get card declined for a variety reasons, especially if you have moved home recently, though if they've confirmed it went through ok ...

My status has moved up to 'packing' which means:

- Payment for your order has been successfully processed.
- Your order is now being prepared for dispatch.

so I guess the offer is genuine and not a mistake

Only placed my order this morning

I had every intention of skipping an upgrade each time so my next camera was to be the K30D, but as I've been looking on ebay for an old K100D / *ist and they are still going for £180+ second hand this was a no brainer.

I will probably be selling either the K10D or the GX-20 when I get back from holiday.

I was looking for a second hand backup body for my Safari in June but at this price!!

I've ordered it - hopefully all will be ok!

It gets cropped as an image from the K10D is a 3:2 ratio which will not fit in an 10x8 print (5:4 ratio). If you want the whole image you need to print 12x8 (or other 3:2 ratio paper size).

If your happy to loose 2 inches from the print you can do it yourself in PS - at least you would get to decide where it got cropped from.

edit - beaten to it my mikew!

I have a Giottos 3290B 5-section monopod with Manfrotto 486RC2 ball head. I use this with my K10D + Sigma 100-300mm lens and supports this weight easily.

I wouldn't pay too much notice of a magazine review if I was you, it doesn't matter what the subject is - photography, cars, computers and golf - these are all magazines I've read a lot of over the years and have noticed that there are no unbiased reviews in magazines - the top advertisers always get the best reviews - no exceptions.

I would trust the experience of actual users of a product far more which is why I visit so many forums. The opinions of people here are worth more than whoever wrote that article and the general opinion is that for the money, the Pentax 55-300mm is the best available.

You are aware that Sigma lenses have just gone up by quite a lot? This lens is now £599 at SRS (everyone will have put their prices up).

If you can still get one at the pre-price increase price then it may be worth it if you are planning on upgrading your body in the future.

I'd second the a HP S-IPS LCD. I don't have experience of that model mentioned but I have used several different models at work and was impressed enough with them to buy a LP2065 (20") for home and am very happy with it.

I'm not sure if it's the case with the LP2475, but the LP2065 which I have was available with both a S-IPS and a slightly inferior S-PVA screen. I'm not sure if this is a trick that HP do a lot but it's worth 'doing your homework' on. You will only get a blank look in PC World if you ask for one type over the other
