They are amazingly sharp! I really like the first pic of the long tailed tit - we have them here for a 2 or 3 months a year about now . I suspect people don't realise how small and fidgety they are if they haven't seen them.

I would like to know how you took them, as I said we get them on our bird feeders occassionally, but if I twitch they fly off ...

edit - my bad spelling!

Apologies, that perhaps didn't come out right (I'm reading their thread and mentioned it over here).

Kimio Tanaka was interviewing Ricoh product planners at CP+, one of the questions was regarding K3ii successor. The reply I gave above (re available in 2020) is from one of his tweets.

Surely a tripod mount on a long lens is the correct way to mount it though, you wouldn't want to hang a heavy lens off the front of your camera without support (I'm thinking about my Sigma 100-300f4).

Personally I don't care for the way skinny cameras feel anyway, still miss my K10D for ergonomics.

Good luck Steppy - I think you've made the best choice for you. I suspect there are plenty of others considering the same route.

Good luck Don.

Unfortunately your story seems to be getting more and more common on the various Pentax forums and like you and Richard I'm looking at alternatives (though unlike you and Richard no one's going to miss me! ) - at the moment it's money and uncertainty in which way to jump.
