The FA28/2.8AL hasn't been mentioned here and yet with its compact size and 35mm equivalent of 42mm, is a lovely lens. I managed to pick up a secondhand one and the image quality is very good. It goes well with the 55mm1.4[82mm] and I think a DA15 would complete a usable set.

There is a K-mount adapter for micro 4/3rds cameras. However you lose camera control of the lens, making it fully manual only.
As DA lenses don't have an aperture ring, it will mean that these lenses will be stopped down in operation
But with any k-mount lens with the ring (K, M, A, F, FA) can be used with the adapter.

Robin is probably the best person to answer this question at the moment.
You probably don't mean this Robin, but I am sure glad I went for the FA77. The aperture ring is darned useful on my Olympus PEN and the extra stop is rather nice. In terms of size the FA77 is only a tiny bit larger than the DA70 with hood. And they are distinctly closer in price on the used market than brand new.
As for rendering, I have seen very good images from both lenses. But I have seen magic from the FA Limiteds.
There are thousands of images out there, so it shouldn't be hard to judge for yourself.

The problem is that I would have gone for it or at least been a lot more tempted if it was not for the perceived obscurity of the Pentax brand. To be honest I didn't know what to think of Pentax at the time and I think it is the same with a lot of people. Even though K-r and K-x sound absolutely great alternatives to the lower/mid range alternatives of the likes of Nikon and Canon they just aren't get considered just as often.
A shame really because both the K-5 I played with and the K20D I've borrowed now are all around excellent pieces of kit.

Still need to sell the rest of my Nikon stuff though before I plunge into any more. Will get the 40mm first off once the camera arrives as my mind is almost made up, have been playing with it and a K20D which in hindsight should have been a camera I should have gone for at the time.

I don't want to spend silly money on a prime to be honest, on the Nikons I had a 50mm and a 35mm but both of them costed 230£ which is less than one of the 40mm. I am happy with a prime up to 300-350 but any more it is pushing it only cause I doubt i will manage to use it enough to justify the cost. I can see me using the prime 25% of the time, the 50-135 50% and the 8-16 another 25% and this is why I am willing to pay more for the 50-135 than either the wide or the prime.
I guess what I was asking is is there any reason I shouldn't go for the 40mm other than the stop or so slower aperture than the much more expensive ones?
