It did cross my mind at the time that I was'nt overhearing staff training as he was being too painstaking and kind in his approach.....

The problem that Jessopps have is similar to that of Halfords,.....if you pay peanuts you get monkeys! And, I wonder what percentage of the strolling public actually knows what an aperture is.......and would Jessopps recognise such knowledge anyway??

A few weeks back I was in the Shrewsbury Jessops on a Sunday morning, to have a play with the Sony NEX,...I found all the cameras on display, about 18 different models, all powered up and easily held and examined. While amusing myself with them, I was listening to the man I assumed to be the manager trying very patiently to explain what an aperture is to a young woman assitant......

.......Actually, I was impressed! Last week I visited (briefly) the Romford branch and could not believe it was part of the same company!

The Novoflex adaptors have a lever to change aperture when using lenses with no aperture ring.

Well if you really do care about what you make and about the customers who buy it you get the "old school designer" to formulate the software criteria for the kid to use.......

....Also listening to users and making what they want DOES help.

The bees were killed by a virus and they were susceptical due to forced inbreeding. It's been a very bad year for the wild bee varieties such as 'bumble' bees. As their natural environments has reduced the area between feeding areas and thus nests have greatly increased and this has caused the bees to inbreed and their immune systems have been destroyed.

Are theye really going to sell any with a price higher than a Nikon D7000? The Nikon is probably not as good in many respects but it is apparently better spec'ed and has better perceived profile than a pentax.

K5 seems to only be a k7 with some drip-feed 'improvements'....I suppose they have to keep something back for hte k4 next year..(??) At this rate I'm never going to get what I'm waiting for.....

The whole thing about this topic that is extremely strange is how angry and put out people get whenever the idea of a pentax 'FF' camera comes up. This anger is completely illogical and very hard to grasp,..it's almost religous, political and class oriented in it's meaningless dogma. No one is sugesting that pentax ONLY makes a 'FF' system. It's a 'horses for courses' situation. Other makers make FF cameras but pentax must'nt make one or everyones position in the world will be destroyed for ever.....!!

......Don't get it frankly!.....but this is a waste of time,..I just hope Pentax is NOT looking this time!

robbie,...just read back to yourself your own post please! The whole tone of what you posted is angled against anyone who wants or needs somethbing different to you,...for whatever reasons.

...As it happens I don't "think I need a FF camera to get great images"...you know nothing about me or what I do, or what my requirements in a camer asystem actually are and, I suspect you couldn't care less. Please don't have the imperiousness to cast down what someone want simply because you don't share that need/desire/requirement.

But I was rather hoping that I would not have to "move to another make".......I am looking to pentax to use the innovation and value for money that it was once famous for and for which it was taken seriously.
