Got a set of Godox triggers, for Pentax and other makes. Set them up and all seems well, no smell of burning etc. Attached Versa Trigger and that worked so fingers crossed it will be ok. It seems there is no manual for these flash heads. will have to experiment although I got some information from another source.

Thanks smudge. That was was one of the reasons I was asking about this kit. The actual trigger is quite small so don't know if it would generate a high voltage the source of which is from the camera. It was the center pin I was vary of and was thinking perhaps of getting a hotshoe adapter with no connections and use that to hold the trigger rather than have it swinging about on the end of the sync cable.

I've obtained a set of "studio" type flash heads which are mains powered. I have a receiver via a sync cable which comes from the power supply and plugs into the flash head sync socket. The transmitter works ok on test and also when a sync cable is attached to it and my K-3 "flash on" set in the menu and the camera shutter button operated as normal. The transmitter has a centre pin hot shoe fitting and knowing nothing of this sort of equipment, I leave hanging from the camera by the cable. Would it be safe to have the transmitter in the hot shoe or could there be voltage which would damage the camera?

The comment was regards a feature of one of the characters which would draw attention to the hair. I can either post another image or just ignore the competition until next week.

I've removed my entry John. The person who commented has been a member long enough to know the rules so I could not see any reason for the comment.

Why can't people resist the urge to comment on competition entries until AFTER the competition has been judged. I have withdrawn my image from the competition "People at work" because it has been commented on.

Was thinking of "down weighting" but changing camera brand now would mean at least one new lens and to be honest how much longer will I be taking photographs? Almost bit the bullet and bought a lightly used K-1 but by the time I'd made my mind up all the K-1 had disappeared. Someone suggested the company may have sent them for update to resell as refurbished. Since then changed the car so kitty empty again

One thing I am wondering is the Tamrom 10-24mm FF compatible with the K-1, has anyone used it.
I just tried it and it covers the F/F image circle from about 15mm to 24mm.
Thanks Smudge, I was wondering if anyone had tried it.

Both the Sigma and Tamron were designed for crop sensors. That's not to say they would not work on FF, but the images will need some PP. I'd add the Sigma 17-35 EX DG to HarisF1's suggestions, but it is a little heavier the FA 18-35. 425g compared to 280g. Don't forget the 1.5x conversion of Crop sensors when considering what is wide angle on full frame.
Thanks Barrie. I was just curious. Not sure what I'm doing at the moment. May be changing brands but don't really want too. Am beginning to think going FF with all the added expense of lenses and the way my eyesight has deteriorated isn't going to be worth it so if anything will either stand still go mirrorless or get a nice light box camera. So much to consider
