I'm not familiar with your unit but I have an old Courtenay Solaflash mains powered unit. I had to buy an add on accessory to step down the trigger voltage to make it safe to use with modern cameras. So I would proceed with caution.

Thanks smudge. That was was one of the reasons I was asking about this kit. The actual trigger is quite small so don't know if it would generate a high voltage the source of which is from the camera. It was the center pin I was vary of and was thinking perhaps of getting a hotshoe adapter with no connections and use that to hold the trigger rather than have it swinging about on the end of the sync cable.

There's a web page listing the trigger voltages for many models of flashes, might be worth looking for something similar for studio lights?

Got a set of Godox triggers, for Pentax and other makes. Set them up and all seems well, no smell of burning etc. Attached Versa Trigger and that worked so fingers crossed it will be ok. It seems there is no manual for these flash heads. will have to experiment although I got some information from another source.
