I agree with JAK I'm not bothered that a camera won't take video. There are more thing like fast focus and sharpness although the latter has much to do with the photographer. Of course once they have gone down the video route let us hope they don't forget the "bread and butter" side of photography

Thanks for the quick responce. I'll run through and see which images I wan't and make a list, then check if I have them or not stored elsewhere. Will come back on here if I have no luck in finding the original. Think I have 4 HDD's in one computer and 3 in the spare which was my main computer for a while. The external drives have more recent stuff on them

Now that PPG has died is there a way to recover Full Size, as posted Images from the gallery. I have some images I'd like to recover to my computer. Still think there should have been some sort of announcement from Richo but of course they don't seem to be interested in the user, prior or future customers.

Last time I am commenting on here. Use the title of an existing film. Use an image to fit the title. As regards a made up title that would need imagination for both to fit so there could be no mistake of what the image/title meant, eg "Murder on the the 9.05 from Bristol" wouldn't have a landscape image of the Lake District without something to do with trains in it. Of course this may already be a top box office film on Mars. The Easy option of course would be: Take an original film title then pick or take an image to fit. Please feel free to argue amongst yourselves.

I'm assuming that I'll choose a film first, then a picture that reflects it and could be used to represent it.

I think this could be quite challenging as I'm spoilt for choice for which film.....
Which is what I thought I'd said. It does give a wide range to choose from and I think judging this could be a nightmare

There seems to be some confusion in what I require for this competition. An Image and Title to reflect what the image is. No images taken from actual films as this could cause a problem. The Title can be the Title of an actual Film or made up Title as long as it fits the brief. HTH

I have a Pentax 360 flash and have a Cactus 6 flash with two triggers. I want to experiment with "Splashes" etc so was thinking of this set up:

360 on trigger tissue paper object K-3 (K-70) with cactus 6 flash set as master

The tutorial on Adorama look easy but use one system, their own. Was going to start with something simple, fruit in a bowl etc. would this mixed system work ?

Thanks

This is the Jessops web-site this morning.

There seems to be an inconsistency of supply at branches reported from time to time.

Why do you make that claim, Stan?

The Metro Centre in Gateshead has taken down all Pentax related displays and it has been reported (Rumoured) other shops have done the same. As I have all The Pentax equipment I need (notice not want) I'll be using Pentax until total failure of what I currently have. I only returned to Pentax because I had 3 lenses (two of them Sigma equivalent to the kit lenses of today, from when I had the SFXn. I had looked at Nikon a D90 but got an *is DL2 at what I thought was an attractive price on holiday in Chester that came with an 18-55 non WR lens, the rest is history

It seems Jessops are no longer stocking Pentax. I wonder how many other dealers will follow suit? Browsing in the magazines Pentax rarely gets advertised except Used by one or two dealers. Word of mouth isn't enough to keep any brand going no matter how good it is. I think many will be thinking "My next camera will be a..."

I've sent a message to their help section on PPG but am not holding my breath waiting for a reply. As regards trying to reach out to the community I was of the opinion too little, too late. At least at the moment there is a thriving page on Facebook with an "International" membership.
