It's not the fact of poor quality control it's the penny pinching. Not sure what other manufacturers do but if selling a camera with these ports, HDMI or USB why can't they provide cacbles to fit? I have found the usb cable from a Toshiba external HDD for the usb slot on the K-3, small problem solved Oh wow, ok. Thanks Barrie. Had a look at this and it looks quite thick, very like the one I had. SRS are having a root around to see if they have one that will fit the K=70. It's beyond belief that Pentax don't supply this cable especially as it's such a tight fit. All I can say about that in response is my next camera probably won't be a Pentax.

It was the amount of plastic around the plug that made it too big for the K-70 it worked ok in the K-3 and now it doesn't so could have been damage by mt trimming it to fit D is industry standard due to size. They sent me one but I didn't stipulate K-70 so the cable fit the K-3. Tried trimming it down to fit but hasn't been satisfactory.srs would be a good shout

Genuine Pentax fit HDMI Cable for the Pentax K-70. Bought one elsewhere but had to trim it down to fit and this wasn't satifactory. Thanks

Wish I seen this idea a few years ago (I wasn't taking photos of anything then) as off the Norfolk coast, especially during the summer there were always beach balls, footballs and somtimes even a dingy floating by, up to about 60miles offshore.Being a bit of a Luddite, I’d never come across this before... Lost Footballs... genius idea...
