Great detail, and composition in no.1, looks like a good day out.

I have been finding it hard to nail focus with the Ashai Pentax 135 2.5, so I started to use the Sigma 70-200 APO 2.8 instead. Having reviewed images from this lens on the forums, I did a bit of research re how to focus/meter a manual lens on a K5, and it made sense of the process.

Here are some of my early attempts at applying what I found out.

Hi folks, went out today with new to me Sigma 70-200 and at times 1.4x tc. It was very dull and I wanted to see if I was going to need a tripod or mono, or if I can get away hand held when the light improves.
Like your advice and critique.

I like the coloration in number 1 especially, puts me in mind of the opening scenes from the Italian Job for some reason...very atmospheric.

Cheers folks and thanks for comments.
I have checked Thougnton out, and he is still around. I have bookmarked his website, some interesting images.
Re the titles, hopefully they don't detract, just what's in my head when I click or review.
The two headed lady was very busy, and had gone when I returned to try some front on.
