My daughter is getting to walk across the stage in unknown lighting again
I have had several versions of this adventure ...
from the K100D and the M135 to the K-5 and 21.
One time a 'friend' was on the lighting board and cut the lights at the crucial moment...
I haven't got a 70-200 2.8 and my longest prime AF is the F100/2.8 beercan
The 55-300 would have me thrown out from the extended whiring noise
So I thinks why not the Q7 and the 06...
Saves lugging the K-5iis et al half the length of the country
Thusly my question arises ( if anyone is still there
How best to setup the little leica for this task of unknown light and distance ?
I think seats are just alocated so pot luck there.
Is it iso800 06 wide open and MF and peaking ?
maybe I can sneek in the monopod and use wireless trigger
any thoughts most appreciated

.... Do lenses known as PKA fit the K30 sorry for all the questions but always used Nikon and Micro 4/3.
PK means the pentax 'K' mount. That is the bayonet mount that all pentax Digital cameras have, and also their film cameras back to the K1000. PKA means auto functions as well, ie you can control the aperure on the lens from the camera.

Hi, I've got the Sigma 8-16mm and use it with my K30. I think it's a great lens, the 8 mm end just provides you with a fantastic field of view that next to no other lens can produce. Sure there are other ultra wide angle Lenses around but by the time you get to 8mm, most of then are fisheye lens.
I enjoy using it for architectural shots, where you can use the ultra wide field of view to capture shots that nobody else can.
I feel like it gives you the ability to warp space! I'll try and upload some shots later that I've taken with it.

The 8-16 is a very good lens, amazingly sharp for so wide.
at both ends too. I sold an excellent DA14 to get it.
Just doing some real estate shots for a friend, inside, outside house and gardens, several stunning shots thanks to this lens, I'm just the mug getting the verticals in line
Only downside is Pencoh don't provide exif support under 10 but there are various work arounds

Have a wee web search, it's all been said I spose
The F50/1.7 that this gentleman is selling for such a good price
will cover the film sized sensor that is soon to appear
It may also have a special character
that the modern clinical glass might lack.
A bit like records vs CDs
