From K7 to K5ii- usage, controls exact same?

Hi,
I'm shooting a friends wedding just before Xmas.
I might or might not have my new K5ii by then. Currently I have a K7.

IF I do get the K5ii on time (it'd be on route to the brides house) I am correct to say that usage is the exact same? As in all controls are the exact same?
So all I'd need to do is set a few settings and off I'd go?
Cheers,
Pa.

That's not a risk Id like to take. My suggestion is to download the manual and compare it with your current camera manual.
The basics will be the same but some of the fine tuning may take more time to work out....

True.
I'll already have 2 cameras for the wedding (2nd one very kindly borrowing from someone through this site).

But it's obviously tempting to want to try it, better for indoor shots than my K7.

I have both and as far as I can see they are identical in operation.

The button layout is identical and the menu options are very similar with a few additions on the ii (Why oh why did you not go for the iis!) I went from the 7 to the iis and the difference is astronomical, it's like going from 1970's telly pictures to HD in one jump.
