Topiary expression TT - big bush - a large privet hedge at the front of Spital Towers designed to keep people on the top deck of the bus from looking into the lounge and try to cut down the traffic noise in general.
Also acts as a nursery for a couple of families of blackbirds every year.
Wobbly ladder - Jo not committed to the task of holding tight ! And the electric hedge trimmer is very heavy too.

Can`t be as bad as throwing money away on horses,bingo,scratchcards and all the other "get rich quick" schemes that have proliferated over the last 20 years - I thought the pools were a con....................

For some people ,a dream is all they have to keep them going , no harm in that as long as they don`t believe it will be them all the time and they don`t gamble all their money. Certainly preferable these days to smoking like a chimney or worse - gettin pi**ed all weekend and causing chaos in society or even worse - the home !
Live and let live - I`m hoping to be able to survive long enough to buy a good second hand one in a couple of years and will enjoy hearing of the exploits and tribulations of others !
And yes - I have got 2 tickets for tonight`s Euromillions - please don`t call me stupid !

Milkman popped in before for his fortnightly cheque and cuppa - "there`s a squirrel digging up yer lawn" he observed through the kitchen window - "Mmmm I know" , I said , "he does the hollow tine aeration for us" ....................!
