I read this over at The Online Photographer, here: link

My mind has been made up over this camera, as i'm sure anyone else's would be, having read this.
I'm excited about getting this camera after having waited for the right words on various sites to be spoken about it. I will surely upgrade from my K20D to this now.

Now...to find the 'sponduliks' for it!

+1 for me. Especially at this time of year when the light is less intense I always seem to be at higher ISO setting... likewise need to find the readies...

I want one now. however I cannot justify the initial high prices. Plus I've been buying some long wanted lenses recently.

I must try and find some energy to get E-Bay selling.

I'll be buying one shortly myself although ideally I'd like to see another review or two first - there's been some debate about the DXO figures although all reviews need to be taken with a pinch of salt

I've seen enough already, Simon. I trust DXOMark and they're tests.

I think the extra DR would really suit your type of Photography Pauly.

Would love to see what you could do with all that extra detail in the shadows

For people waiting for their K5's it will be worth the wait. For all those wanting treat yourself life is for living and doing. If you don't have the money sell some stuff you no longer use on ebay and start getting the cash together. Christmas is nearly with us you never know what you might find at the bottom of the tree.

I wanted one now as well but SRS are out of stock! This is the 4th or 5th batch they've been through.

That makes me feel a little better about buying mine from Mifsuds.
I felt quite bad not buying it from Chris but the offer (mistake?) price they were selling it for made it impossible to pass on.

To be honest I would probably be waiting until after Xmas anyway if that deal had not come up.

Mike your so right, that's why I have waited til now to find out what the range was like on this camera. This is what matters the most to me!
The K7 wasn't any better than the K20D, in fact the K7 was a little behind the K20D.
I'm so happy that the K5's sensor is miles ahead, ahead of the competition too.

Overall, the K5's sensor beats Kwanon's and Nikon's FF cameras, judging by DXO, which is thrilling me really.

Well that's going to be a pretty small payout if we all use those numbers
