Dangermouse I got my provisional licence in 1961 and after passing was bought a Ford Prefect ( sit up and beg ) black with running boards and a non-synchro 3 speed box.60 miles per pint of oil, sidevalve engine with the windscreen wipers working off a vacuum pump ie go faster/wipers go slower.Car weighed a ton at least and the tyres had proper treads on them not like today`s racing slicks.0-60 was about 15 minutes on a good day and I regularly drove from Liverpool to Hotel College in Blackpool.
ABS ? A Bl**dy Dream
Discs ?
Power steering ?
Heater ?
Washers ?
Indicators ?
Radio ?
Foglights ?

Had a mean pair of black leather driving gloves though and a cut potato for when the wipers failed ( ask yer great granddad )

Hi all,

been laid up with the lurgy so just reviewing what I`ve missed - I too cannot tick any of the boxes as my first camera was either a Kodak Box Brownie or an Ilford - I still have some of the "amazing" shots from the 50`s - I lost interest then until after marriage and the sprog arrived - then it was Instamatics until her 18th when I bought the ES and got hooked myself.I`ve still got my father`s Ilford Sportsman RF with instructions, built in flash and ERC.Happy days ..................

Hi Kaiser,
would it be rude to ask how much it cost ? I`ve got one - DG DF Aspherical EX Gold stripe not Red and would be interested in selling if I knew where to pitch the price.
It`s a great lens - bulky as discussed previously - but beautifully made and producing excellent shots on my *istD and K20D

The paragraph above is taken from the parent company site - Google - I have always used Picasa and find it adequate and very user friendly.
Perhaps they are more controlling over the photos uploaded to the Google map sites - I have a few around the world.

Hi Anvh,

yep - now I have two yellow rose studies in poster size ( kodak labs ) and brushed aluminium frames and a set of three red rose shots in 15" x 9" in wooden frames. My avatar shot to the left of this post ( the river Severn at Oatfield )is hanging in my sister`s in Jersey and my Daughter`s in Uckfield in various sizes.Probably time for a change of decor in 2010 so I will start suggesting ideas after Christmas - lol

By golly you lot don`t half like living dangerously !!!!!!!

After 40 years my lovely lady is still hard to buy for but I keep trying !!
Chanel No 5 is always acceptable ( should be as it costs almost as much as Printer ink ).Handmade jewelery or Tiffany goes down well too.Books ( rarely read even when asked for ) CDs and stuff like fluffy dressing gowns ( Slankets are the new thing, apparently )slippers, and tickets for her favourite artist/show a banker too.
This year I might get her a new lens for her recently gifted *istD !!!!! Now ther`s a thought......I wonder what I - sorry She - would like tee hee...............................

I have to agree with Father Ted ( how is the little fella with the flu by the way ? )having one`s photos blown up and framed for the house/relatives house is a great feeling. Also they look so much different when enlarged - I never saw that before.
Got to say getting the K20D was a pleasure - under one year old and under £400 - great bargain.Even better my beloved saying she wanted the *istD so I could have an excuse to by foresaid K !!!!!!
Happy Christmas to all and a Phototastic New Year to all my new Pentax friends..................................
