So if I remember correctly, there is a AF1.7x, 100mm Macro, 50-135, 70mm and viewfinder magnifier to play with.

I have yet to buy the wife a present! Any ideas? I don't arrive until Xmas Eve.

Gotta turn this situation round some how.

Depending on the age of the Lady in question, I find a catering size vat of industrial strength Oil of Ulay, is quite well received.
No man is worth his salt, who has not been banned from at least one Forum, and two Flickr groups.

So it would be "Merry Xmas Darling", with a reply of "do you think I need this much Polyfiller?".

Would the wife also get half of my camera gear after the divorce?

Any ladies out there that have some ideas?

Some nice, understated and totally beautiful gold jewellery .The sort that doesn't scream 'look at me I'm expensive' but will make her feel good wearing it .

Gold and Diamonds usually work.

Oh and a bottle of Baileys or Sloe Gin!
Cheers, HG

just don't try showing up nude with a ribbon tied around your waist.
Sounds like fun at first... but women are notorious for returning or exchanging...

I think that the present for your wife ought to bear some ratio to the amount of camera gear bought for yourself. It could be directly proportional or the like.

Ok, I'll stop now .....................
Are you a divorce lawyer by any chance Gareth?

K10D - is gold jewellery as good an investment as it used to be in the Middle East? When I was in Saudi 10+ years ago, it was sold by the weight of the gold so an ingot cost the same as something beautifully crafted. Mrs Oggy has some really nice things.

Gold is still sold by weight only, you do not pay for the workmanship and the price is the spot price that day.

Gareth, I seem to remember that WIFE stands for Washing, Ironing, Film, Etcetera. I could be wrong though?

If my wife sees this it would probably mean Won't Iron For Ever!
