Hi selectcase

I bought a Spotmatic 1000 back in 1991 from Fairs Cameras in Rock Ferry,Merseyside. It cost me £129.50 plus £8.50 for the hot shoe attachment. Also £15.96 for a pack of four Kodak 35mm 36 exposure 100 ASA.

All still in the ERC with a 50mm f2 lens, original box and paperwork.
I used it a lot between `91 and `93 when I bought an ME Super and got into M mount lenses, before moving up to the MZ50 which I gave to my daughter and got an MZ5n.Then Digital happened !!

Lovely camera and in its day as now an extremely useable and friendly camera.

Enjoy

Ah, the French, as a lover of fine wine and good food I cannot revile them too much. However..........

Ah,davex,as a lover of fine wine and food you must have heard of the Italians,Spanish & Portugese ! As a retired Maitre Chef de Cuisine with an interest in such things,I was also taught that the French learned their cuisine from the Italians , who in their time had learnt from the Chinese ( Marco Polo and the Spice Route ).I too am a bit of a francophile - but as you say..............however !!

I keep all my lenses not in use in an Ikea 5 drawer tallboy/chest either in their original cases or in a loose plastic bag.Any silica gel sachets I get go into the drawers with them.
No problems so far - 28 years .

Welcome Beth - enjoying it is surely what we are all about ?

Everything else is learned either by asking,failing/succeeding,trial and error,or friendly advice.

I love my Pentaxes and I love the ability to capture whatever in the world is within my eyeline and interesting to me - if others approve I am doubly blessed.

Any questions this is the place to be.

Sorry impotentspider - weak attempt at humour based on misspelling - must be my age - only things close to an Andriod ( sic ) are the huge exoskeletons used by the miners/infantry
