I certainly wouldn`t want to be paying those brainless louts who pose every week on the pitch whilst pretending to kick a pig`s bladder in the name of sport !!

Tony

Yep !!

Best wishes from Wirral Jon - getting back into the work ethic is a great feeling - I should know after 40 odd years in the uncertainty of catering and hotelkeeping.

Hope all goes well and look forward to some exciting home thoughts from abroad on screen.

Tony ( & Jo )

Hi Andy - we like your photos here in cloudy Wirral - great eye for a pic and some great feeling in the shots - one,six and the last one for me - bags of emotion and feeling ( no NOT John Major on the bog ! )

Welcome indeed and enjoy our gang

Tony

I look a T*at in a baseball hat - I know cos I had to wear one in my last job before retiring - how sad is that ? Bad enough in a tall toque and a bit iffy in a modern skull cap chef`s hat but a baseball hat ? No way - unless they paid me the £15 - lol.

I think my favourites had to be the 4-6-2 Duchesses or Coronation class with the "blinkers" - magnificent, powerful, streamlined and very quick.
We always got excited if we saw a "niner".

Then I discovered girls and that was the end of that ..................!!

ROFL

Tony

Oh wow - they just said they are sending the SECOND disc with the rest of the series.......................great stuff !!

My daughter always used to say " why do you keep the bad shots Dad ?? "

My reply was "so that I could see if I was getting better" !

This was taken with the MZ5n using my Pentax 28-105 FA or the 28~80 A Zoom on Ilford 400 I think and scanned through the Epson as a photo rather than a neg.

I rather like the mood......................

Tony

OOOOH !!

I do like your chuffing shots - takes me back to my schooldays with cap, satchel and notebook to be found on Huyton station,Lime Street station,Crewe,Starcross and others.
I agree with gareth - loadsakit don`t make a photographer great any more than clubs do a golfer or knives a masterchef. It`s the guy/gal handling the kit that matters - and you are very good.
Keep at it please as it warms the cockles of an old man`s heart even though they are not LMS but God`s Wonderful.

Compliments

Tony

Certainly caught me in my tracks !!

Mel would NEVER do anything like THAT !!

Chuckles and goes off for a glass of red........................
