Sadly the only aircraft I would trust to ride on is a simulator ( apart from the RAF )I wouldn`t trust a large company as far as I could fly with homemade wings in these days of big money,shareholders and accountants - sorry.There`s nowhere in the world I want to go that I cannot reach by road,rail or ship.
Great memories of the old Daks flying to the Isle of Man from Speke ( John Lennon ??? )Airport.Proper aircraft that could fly rather than computer controlled missiles - IMHO - sorry and all that but its taken me almost 64 years to get here and I`m just fine as I am.
Like motorbikes, I am fascinated by the machines though ,and will go out of my way to see them.

Should be if the OZ police are chasing Lewis,Weber stops for a barbie and the Virgin team run out of petrol cos the tank is 13 litres too small - time to ban the rear wings and all that downforce and go back to proper driving and proper racing.

I was much more exciting in 1958 when I first went to Oulton Park and Aintree.

Where I learned a lot of techniques - close to the kettle/kitchen - free to enter and free of numptys - full of surprises and even excitement and action.
