George - my dad was a Manxman - Peel to be exact - and he used to travel regularly to Douglas from Liverpool (where he studied Dentistry at the Uni) on the King Orry,Manxman,Manx Maid,Snaefell,Ben my chree,Mona`s Isle,Lady of Mann to name a few.

He always knew the sailors and told we kids that the IOMSPC on their navy jumpers stood for "I often make sick people comfortable" - which of course we believed implicitly.

I remember in the later years watching "our" Sunbeam Talbot Supreme being loaded onto the deck by cradle and crane - scary stuff - thank goodness for RORO and the new generation of Seacats.

All best

I got the XPS 630i with extra memory and an HP w1907v screen - I know it`s not a laptop but the technology and reliability is fantastic and must reflect on their other machines.
