Just got a new PC, Vista OS, and I have loaded Lightroom and CS3 but even if I open a Jpeg image from Lightroom into CS3 I can’t save as a Jpeg, it only offers Tiff and a few other options but not Jpeg.

If I try save for web option it only offers Gif. Have looked in the Preferences files but can’t see any option to change this.

Now on my old PC, XP OS, I have, had no problem exporting or saving a file as a Jpeg,

Help Please, in little words please, I use the things but don’t understand the way they work. As an example I just ordered 'one of those wireless thingies' suprisingly I got what I wanted, and it works, I like people with imagination

Thank you for answering my question, simple really but not if you don't know. Guess it depends on the forums you have used in the past and if it is a new layout it takes time to sort out. Can now enjoy the shots people enter into the competitions.

Sure this is a very stupid question but where can one view the images entered for competition, thanks.

Sorry folks, Hi been a member for a while but only recently plucked up enough courage to join in, glad I did you are all welcoming and helpful.

I have searched my portfolio and my settings but there is nothing that asks for my signature or my equipment, it is why I wondered if there was a requirement of time or number of posts before you could add a signature.

Just had a thought, may be it is APL, will go try IE and see what happens.

Have not really just joined but have just started joining in and still finding my way around the forum and gallery.

Some people have their signature complete with web sites and list of most used equipment. I have searched the page that you use to enter your details and there is no space to enter this sort of info.

Is it that you have to have a certain standing, length or membership, number of posts, before this sort of information can be added?

Not a problem but I like to see the equipment people are using as they do not always say and I have no objection for others to see what I may be using. Exif is OK but can be a bit of a fiddle or absent.
