I was looking round for one and most people had no stock and told me that they would be comming back in at £1000 plus, I was lucky enough to find one in stock and still at the £700 it was just after Christmas.

Am still trying to come to terms with it but I am getting there.

I was surprised to see the butterfly in the shot so I just cropped it to bring the insect into the shot so to speak. The blue is sky through the tree, what I was actually doing was trying to take a macro shot of a white flower without blowing the white, I did get some reasonable white flowers but apart from that and this one with the butterfly I managed a butterfly of the same type feeding on a flower that I am really pleased with.

Do understand what you mean but I can't claim that was what I was aiming for I did not even see the beastie.

That is very nice never thought of using my 50mm f1.4 on building but looking at your results I reckon I should start. I too love my little 50.

Yes Shim, it was the Sigma 105mm macro on my K20D a newish lens to me but I am getting to grips with it, the flying thingy was a small tortoiseshell

I think photographers take and edit shots to please themselves and as long as it does that then it's a good shot in the artist’s eyes even if it breaks all the rules.

One pleasure in not taking shots for a living is you can do whatever you like, go for it you rule breakers

That is the default but you can change it so you can focus with the remote.

Page 126 of hand book see memo.

In the C menu set AF in remote control to on.

Only kow 'cause I looked it up myself last night.

SNAP you type quicker than I

I may have cropped it Tel, it was left bottom corner, I was taking the blossom and did not see I was on a flight path till I was sorting through the shots.

Think I will have to learn to look at the whole shot and not just he point of focus.
