Pigeons only get frisky when trying to mate and she is not in the mood. Can go on for days until she gives in and then it's over in less than a second. Guess these two are only at odds because she is not having any of his attention.....YET.

My grandson looked over my shoulder and remarked. "We have some of those on our playgroup wall"
Out of the babes, so they say.

Not my cup of tea, either Ken, but it takes all sorts and any means to achieve personal satisfaction.

Thanks again. Know the problem. I made the mistake of going to the US. Never again. Stood for over an hour and a half whilst they checked out a dodgy traveler at immigration. Asked for something to sit on as my legs are past standing on. You would have thought I was asking for the moon. Never got anything.
I am hoping that Canada are more obliging. From some reports they can be just as difficult at immigration.
Belts!! Well, my trousers will not stay up without one. Have to go through holding them up. Did see some advertised with a plastic fittings but reasoned that they will still request that I conform and remove it. I normally wear braces. That could be interesting. Jogging bottoms seem the best bet here.
I will only be taking the K5 plus two lens. Traveling through the Rockies by train and then by cruise liner through the inner passage. It's a golden wedding gift from, my wife, Lucky me.

regards again and thanks for the info.

Thanks for that advice. I keep my spare battery in a small cloth bag at home to prevent any shorting issues.
Is there any issues with my laptop battery that will be in my hand luggage please?

Help. Flying to Canada soon and taking my k5 plus spare battery in hand luggage.
How do I conform to regulations. Must be many people like me who travel infrequently who are completely innocently ignorant of how we should comply.

Please explain in simple terms because that is how I am.

Hi. Just put a 36 film through the SFX. Result is a whole blank film. It would appear that the sync curtail has failed. The camera appears to be working in every other aspect.
Is this a known problem? Would this be a economic repair?
If I have to replace, which film camera would be the best option?
regards

As a native of the isle of wight, may I correct the assumption that IOW stands for Isle of Wight.

It is generally more shown as IoW. At least, for us inhabitants.

IOW could simply refer to being i'm over weight. Knowing smeggy's humour this is more to the mark. LOL.

Come on, smeggy, put out of our confusion. What do you mean?

I spend at least an hour every evening in the dark and in my garden. I see many exciting things and that includes the stars and the occasional shooting star.
Whilst I acknowledge that it is an exciting achievement to photograph an extremely rare event and certainly not boring as such, but for me, it cannot match what nature gives us the opportunity to photograph every night.
It is a personal thing and a valid comment

Smeggy
I could not agree more. There must be many more interesting things to photograph in the dark of night and just as rare, like a mother and baby toad last night whilst hunting vine weevil, but no camera to hand.
