Just back from a work's trip to Barcelona (which i arranged the transport details for, and somehow we ended up with a few hours to kill one afternoon don't know how that may have happened .)

Are these lenses old M42 mount lenses on an adaptor to fit the KaF mount?. It sounds like the adaptor you are using is like the one I have whereby you lose the ability to get infinity focus..... a newer 'slimmer' adaptor will aparently fix this issue easily. (would also explain why the macro at close focus works fine...)

I'd certainly second this idea, as you may have noticed finding/chasing bargains and clearance items is sort of my raison d'etre.

There have been occasions recently whereby people have come late to a thread describing an offer somewhere (the Samsung Sef36 flashguns at JohnLewis for example), and posted have i missed this ?, damn i wish i had seen it earlier etc. Having a seperate section so the posts are not scattered around and hidden within various areas would help alleviate this I believe.

I can vouch for the service from park, used them for a couple of purchases, and they were very helpful and knowledgable over the phone. (free next day delivery too ).
Also they list a Gx-20 at £499 too, twin lens at £599 if you dont mind the samsung branding...

Touch screens have one major issue on cameras, they become 'nose' operated screens very quickly, often when not required!

Voted 1, chose pentax over others due to long respected quality of lenses, and the deals available on bodies at time meant an enthusiast spec body for less than entry level in other makes.

(As an aside my GF has a D300 - yes its good, but at 3x the price?! not that good, not by a long shot)

Thanks John, I suspected as much but that clears it up. (And explains why its not clear in the 'rules', they were written before it could become an issue!)

Regarding this comp, have the rules on the time been relaxed? its just so far I can only see one pic that has been taken in the 'permitted' timeframe, or is it just the Fortnightly comp that has this restriction?
