Voted 1, chose pentax over others due to long respected quality of lenses, and the deals available on bodies at time meant an enthusiast spec body for less than entry level in other makes.
(As an aside my GF has a D300 - yes its good, but at 3x the price?! not that good, not by a long shot)

Hmm, still no one coming from a different system to Pentax? I was hoping that the number of people considering leaving would be roughly equal to those who have left other systems and joined Pentax.

Me too Mike I despair for our formerly happy forum.
Mike
But I think most of it is still the same, so I take solace in that still.
This is still a place I like to stay linked and participate throughout the day. Its a nice and pleasant meeting point

As with many polls, you've skewed the result by the way the questions are posed.
Why six months?

Because I think the appearence of the new model is what prompts mostly the changeovers from one system to the other. I was hoping to get newcomers into the system lured by the fact that the K7 is here.As with many polls, you've skewed the result by the way the questions are posed.

I was tempted to come into DSLR due to the attraction of the K20D

Yes, but the k7 hasn't arrived in force yet, or been fully promoted yet. Then those newcomers would need to have found Pentax User, registered and feel they wanted to answer your poll.
It's cutting down the odds a bit!

I am one of those wanting desperately a K7. But I still need to be convinced that it will give me what I want, and in the meantime I am very happy with my K20, for now

If past advertising by Pentax is anything to go by then I would say it has.Yes, but the k7 hasn't arrived in force yet, or been fully promoted yet.
They are not exactly known for their aggressive advertising.

That is a glitch in the code of the page. I had noticed it before. Unless one ticks in the result never appears in their browsers

Ooops, that's what comes of speed reading, trying to catch up on too many threads in a small amount of time. Why can't you vote Mike?
Busiest day it's been in here for ages
