Just has a wander round some local farmland, never seen so many yellow hammers then we spotted a short eared owl, sat and watched it hunt across the mead for about thirty minutes until some rooks started mobbing it.

I have had a quick fiddle your graveyard shot, and I do mean quick, 5 mins. I applied a curve to the whole image and reduced the brightness on the two lighter grave stones, then applied some burning to the mid tones on the gravestones. Hope you don't mind.

Just checked this site link , sadly it would have to hit a 7 before I get a look in, although there are historical records of the Auroras in Northumberland

The 3 & 4 for me as well, the detail & texture contrasted with the incidental flora works. I like the composition of 1 but it lacks the pazazz of 3 & 4. I'm afraid number 2 does nothing for me, as a suggestion you could try and increase the contrast to provide a grater feeling of depth.

I have a Lowepro flipside 400 and Lowpro AW Trackker, the flipside takes two camera bodies, six lenses and bits easily. My only complaint is the lack of non camera storage, I can get a light weight raincoat and a lunch box in and that's it. The tracker has bags of room is comfortable but has almost nil external storage for non camera gear.

Has the second one had any HDR processing? It looks a little "unreal" on my monitor. Then again, this monitor has been proven to lie in the past.
The shot is almost out of the can apart from some sharpening and slight increase in saturation when converted it to srgb.

I love the 'cloud curves' in shot 2, but the shot just wanted a break in the clouds to bathe the rocks in light.
By the time I took this shot the sun was quite low and being blocked by the dunes, a little bit of low level sun light would have made all the difference.

Thanks I-berg & David I intend to revisit this spot and see what else I can get out of it. I did wonder if the shadows from number 1 are a bit harsh.

I think the two monochrome shot are very interesting, especially the smokies. The texture, light and detail just describe the inky black contents perfectly, my taste buds are twitching just looking at them.
