Well the day went well and we had the treat of seeing Red Kites up close, if you can call within 300mm range close, so without further ado heres the first pic of the day and naturally its a Red Kite, dont know if its my best as I was rushing to get first to the post with an image

New you would be first in Alan. Just got home after a great day, my computer is currently uploading 222 shots in the hopes that one will be good. Great see everyone again. I off now a bottle of Blue Bird beer is calling.

Made it back for 9.00. Good day in the end. Was hoping for Graham to fall of the stepping stones or the keeper to get eaten by owls but no such luck.

Haven't had a chance to go through things propely or spend any time in Photoshop but the first few are here.

That fast focus really payed off with the blackbird Gareth, both mine went straight in the recycle bin, though in my defence I was using an antique lens as is clearly visible in your shot of us shooting skyward

We all had a quite a good time even if the sun did not show its face until late evening. I think the Kite circling over the cafeteria finished the day of nicely for everyone. As ever it was good to catch up, look through peoples camera kit, eat & drink and somewhere find time to take some pictures.

Very nice shots: I always like seeing these wonderful birds when travelling through mid-Wales.
Best wishes,

Andrew

You got some good pictures at Harewood. Sorry I couldn't make it because of family commitments. But I'm looking forward to the Goths at Whitby in October, and also in Yorkshire and in October, there's the 1940s re-enactment at Pickering. I'll check the date.
