Does this suggest that a very modest kit that I have to sell (Program A and Pentax A 28-80 (the non-SMC one)) would fetch more sold together than separately?
Possibly, this time last year you almost had to include a lens to sell a Program A, I know because I sold one.

I see there are 3 body only auctions on Ebay at the moment.

A few observations

Large number of Pentax DSLR's sold over Christmas fueling a demand for K mount lenses.

Professional sellers are paying more for 'kits' and raising their reserve/starting prices when they split the kits and sell on.

UK Ebay prices for Pentax items are generally lower than other parts of Europe. I have seen quite a few auctions won by overseas buyers.

I did read a rumour that Pentax were considering 'decrippling' the KAF mount on the new DSLR's, this would restore more functionality to earlier series lens and thus increase their value.
I wonder how much restoring such a feature would actually cost, as it would be body only. There would be no need to do the same on DA lenses.

Since I have sold my MZ7 I have no further use for this item. It is fully working and in good condition.
I am looking for around £7.50 plus £1 p&p

See spec and compatibility here http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/misc/remote/index.html

If anyone is interested drop me a PM. I will leave this item online for a week before auctioning on Ebay

When I first took up photography in the early 80's, Lens tissues were the thing I used. I can't remember what the paper was impregnated with, but they always worked well. (Use once and throw away).

Later I purchased some Pentax microfibre cleaning clothes, which are excellent, the downside is that they do need regular washing.

SMC coatings are very durable and I still have my original 50mm F1.7 which has been cleaned countless times and the coatings are still there as good as new.

A few questions

Does the computer see/read/write to the SATA drives when you run Vista?

If so I would think you could rule out motherboard bios.

What happens when if you run your old IDE XP installation with the 2 SATA drives connected. Does XP see the drives, does it ask for drivers, do those on the floppy work?

Steve
Vista is on a PATA drive, SATA drives all work perfect in a USB caddy.

Can't run the IDE XP installation with the SATA drives! it's one (PATA) or the other (SATA), but again they work in a USB caddy.
With your configuration Is it possible to run XP setup and then when asked for the SATA drivers, point XP to the drivers on the Vista disk?

Have you followed a procedure similar to this

http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org/how_do_i_install_windows_xp_on_a.htm ?

Did you get as far as Step 5?

Was you Vista disk connected at the time?

I am not 100% sure but you may have to disconnect the the Vista disk at least during installation.
