Good news.

On top of that, lets all shoot more film!
I have just returned from a short break in Cornwall. I had some film and processing chemicals that needed using, so I took an LX, Super A together with 24mm and 50mm lenses. I found it a very liberating experience.

I did take a K5 with a DA* 16-50 fitted as a backup, but mainly for interior shots using TAv mode.

Bump before I go away on vacation. If no interest it will be eBay bound upon my return.

I'm still looking for a working 35-70 rather than the display item I have at the moment...

Oh well...

K.
Well if you are interested I can check out the combo on offer on the market tomorrow. I am happy to purchase and sell on at cost plus postage, but as per my previous post there would be no guarantees.

A local market trader tried to sell me the MEF/AF 35-75 combination last week. I think he wanted 45 pounds. They looked in reasonable condition but everything is sold as seen so I declined.

Having a bit of a clear out and decided to sell this lens. The glass is clear , just the usual dust commensurate with age. Aperture is snappy and focussing smooth. There is some paint loss particularly on the barrel, I have tried to show this on the first picture.

I must point out that the Auto/Manual switch does not work on this lens, in fact I believe part of the mechanism is missing, it was like that when I purchased the lens. That said it makes no difference in terms of how it can be used on a Pentax K mount camera (focus wide open and then stop down to required aperture).

These lenses are fetching £60-80 on ebay, but in the light of its condition I am offering it to forum members for £35 plus postage and packing (£5 in the UK, overseas pm for quote)

Hi, before you accept a low offer on this lens, you should be aware that the 'fault' that you describe is most likely metering problem common to most pre 'A' series Pentax lenses on Pentax DSLR's. The K5 is a big improvement, but it too is still not perfect.

If you have not done so already remove the lens from the camera , set the aperture to F22 and move the stop down lever to open up the Iris. Let it go and observe how quickly the blades move and if there is any sign of sticking. Repeat several times at different aperture settings.
