we had a very light flurry of the white stuff again this morning so I tried to get some snowflake macros, trouble is they were slightly melted. Still some nice formations, let me know what you think.

Awesome program - every time I start complaining about the cost of a license, the beeb go and produce a show like this.

We had a chap called Mark Sisson visit our camera club a couple of months back who runs wildlife trips and one of them is a polar bear trip in Svalbard. One of our members went last spring and thoroughly enjoyed herself, however it is very expensive. If anyone is interested do a search for Mark Sisson photography or http://www.natures-images.co.uk/

Wait a few months and no doubt the K-5 will drop in price too, the K-7 did, and go the whole hog at 638 you are not really that far shy of the 5. Wait 3 months and I believe the 5 will be much more achievable... that's what I'm doing.

Conditions Bret, it was very dark as it is the bottom of a deep narrow valley and the sun had gone down by the time I got to take them, also I was worried about pushing them too far and blowing the highlights.
Any suggestions as to how I can get a bit more brightness without losing the detail in the snow/ice would be very welcome.

Sorry about the title I couldn't think of anything better. Spent Boxing Day at some of the waterfalls in the Neath Valley conditions not great for it but spectacular nonetheless.
